Richard Carrington is the founder and Executive Director of Voices Against Violence. In addition to actively running this multi-faceted youth empowerment program, Richard serves as an advisor and consultant to numerous youth and violence-prevention related groups in the City of Pittsburgh, including Pittsburgh Public Schools, Coalition Against Violence, and Pittsburgh Citizen Police Review Board. Richard grew up in Beltzhoover, PA, has served in the military for 15 years, and has a Mathematics degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jill Evans is a youth advocate, community service advocate and mentor for Voices Against Violence. Starting out as a volunteer and always willing to help with any initiative, her role at VAV has encompassed a wide variety of projects including community service projects, the Summer Program and the Senior Project. Currently, she directs the VAV Expansion/Restoration Project. Born and raised in the Beltzhoover/Hilltop neighborhood, Jill left for a while but moved back to this community in 1994. Since then she has been working as a Family Advocate at the Head Start Program in her community. Jill has also served in different community advocacy groups (including, Coalition Against Violence, Five for Five, Hilltop Alliance, BNC, Abraxas), and will continue to volunteer with any groups to make a difference in the Hilltop community. She is motivated to continue to work with VAV and others to achieve the ultimate goal of having a safe and friendly community without violence, and helping the youth and others on their paths to success.
Saint L. Harris is a Program Directer working with the Voices Against Violence Non-Profit Youth Organization. Saint believes in the importance of positive Role Models, Critical Thinking, and influence to uplift our youth. Saint is the standing President of the Beltzhoover Concensus Group, Board Member of the South Hill Top Mens Group, and Private Business Owner. Saint has obtained degrees in Business Management, Minor in Psychology, and also Chemical Lab Technician.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
